International Women's Day at Rabobank The Hague: building an ecosystem of female entrepreneurs

3 min

On March 11, TOV The Hague organized an inspiring gathering at Rabobank, where female entrepreneurs, professionals, and partners came together to learn, connect, and look ahead.

Talent is everywhere. But when we connect talent with opportunities, that's when real impact happens.

On March 11, we at TOV The Hague, together with our partners, organized a special gathering at Rabobank in The Hague for International Women's Day. It was an inspiring and festive evening where female entrepreneurs, professionals, and partners came together to learn, connect, and look ahead.

More than an event

This evening was more than just a gathering for us. It was a step toward something bigger: building an ecosystem where female entrepreneurs empower each other.

We brought different worlds together:

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Corporates
  • Financial institutions
  • Experts
  • Inspiring role models

Throughout the program, it became clear how important it is that talent not only exists, but also has access to networks, knowledge, and opportunities.

Inspiring conversations and real stories

During the panel discussion, entrepreneurs shared their personal experiences around the question: "How did you earn your first income in the Netherlands?"

There was open discussion about:

  • Starting without a network
  • Finding opportunities
  • Persevering despite challenges
  • The importance of visibility

What made these conversations powerful was the recognition. Everyone in the room saw: growth doesn't happen alone, but together.

"Building Tomorrow Together"

Beyond the substantive conversations, there was also a moment to celebrate. Together, we cut a cake with the message: "Building Tomorrow Together."

A symbolic and festive moment, fitting for the celebration of International Women's Day. It represented what this evening was truly about: building the future together, growing together, making impact together.

The energy in the room was palpable: engaged, open, and full of ambition.

What this means for organizations

Organizations are constantly looking for strong talent, diversity and inclusion, and sustainable growth. But the key often lies somewhere else: how do we connect talent with the right ecosystems?

Because talent without access to opportunities often remains untapped.

Organizations that invest in connection build:

  • Stronger teams
  • Better talent pipelines
  • More innovation
  • Sustainable impact

From an evening to a movement

This gathering was not an endpoint. It was a beginning. A movement in which we continue to build visibility, connection, opportunities, and economic independence.
